Kasson-Mantorville Komets (Kasson, MN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN), 60-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kasson-Mantorville upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Komets travel to Faribault (Faribault, MN) to play the Falcons in a AAA Section 1 bout on Monday, February 12. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 4-18. Faribault lost 65-44 in their recent league bout against Winona (Winona, MN)

Next up, the Spartans play the Tartan Titans (Oakdale, MN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Simley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record. The Titans come into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 72-37 non-league loss to Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN).
