Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Warren Spartans (Bowling Green, KY), 59-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Metcalfe County upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Hornets host Barren County (Glasgow, KY) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 18-7. Barren County won 69-37 in their recent non-league bout against Adair County (Columbia, KY)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Warren East Raiders (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. South Warren will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 22-2 record after their 76-18 non-league win over North Hardin (Radcliff, KY).
