The Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves basketball team (Dumfries, VA), was overwhelmed 73-26 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA)
The Panthers now possess a 14-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop Ireton for a Washington Catholic battle on Monday, February 12. Paul VI will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 77-35 league win over Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-7.
The Wolves (10-13) will now prepare for their battle against The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD). The Tartans come into the Washington Catholic battle with a 12-14 record. In their last battle, The Academy of the Holy Cross trounced Georgetown Day (Washington, DC), 65-59, in a non-league battle.
