The Ponaganset Chieftains the visiting Lincoln Lions ice hockey squad by a tally of 6-3 in Saturday's league bout.
With the victory, Ponaganset betters its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI) to confront the Rebels in a Division 2 bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 8-10. South Kingstown lost 5-1 in their recent league bout against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI)
The Lions now have a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they host Cranston East for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. Lincoln will confront a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Rogers (Newport, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 4-3.
