In Monday's non-league contest, the host Prairie Hawks basketball team scored a big 80-35 triumph over the Burlington Grayhounds.
The Hawks (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Warriors go into the Mississippi Valley contest with a 9-15 record. In their last contest, Washington was trounced by Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA), 83-38, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Grayhounds battle the Waterloo East Trojans (Waterloo, IA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 15. Burlington will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 9-13 record after their 52-50 non-league loss to Des Moines North (Des Moines, IA).
