Jefferson Yellowjackets (Council Bluffs, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), 44-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Jefferson upgrades its record to 3-16 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Le Mars (Le Mars, IA) to face the Bulldogs in a Missouri River match on Tuesday, February 11. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 5-14. Le Mars lost 67-63 in their recent non-league match against Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA)
The Monarchs now sport a 2-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to AHSTW for a non-league match on Thursday, February 13. Denison-Schleswig will face a Vikings squad coming off a 66-44 non-league win over Audubon (Audubon, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 10-10.
