Rhode Island High School Basketball - North Smithfield holds off St. Patrick Academy

In Monday's league contest, the visiting North Smithfield Northmen basketball team scored a close 57-53 triumph over the St. Patrick Academy Padres.

The Northmen (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Paul Cuffee (Providence, RI). The go into the Division III contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Paul Cuffee nipped Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI), 58-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Padres confront the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division III contest, on Wednesday, February 12.
