The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) and the host Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD), observed North Point's basketball team overwhelm Lackey by a score of 69-24.
The Eagles (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Wolverines come into the Southern Maryland challenge with a 6-11 record. In their last challenge, Westlake trounced La Plata (La Plata, MD), 49-40, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Chargers encounter the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, February 14. Lackey will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record.
