The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Onteora Eagles (Boiceville, NY) and the visiting Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY), observed Onteora's basketball team knock off Minisink Valley by a score of 40-30.

The Eagles (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Rhinebeck (Rhinebeck, NY). The Hawks come into the Section 9 MHAL III challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Rhinebeck was knocked off by Pine Plains (Pine Plains, NY), 52-46, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County II challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Minisink Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 53-31 league win over Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY).
