Newton Tigers (Newton, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS), 46-20 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Newton upgrades its record to 21-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to Pisgah (Sandhill, MS) to face the Dragons in a non-league match on Friday, February 14. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 29-1. Pisgah won 62-29 in their recent non-league match against Amite County (Liberty, MS)
The Bulldogs now sport a 20-11 record.
