Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) and the host South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA), saw Clarke Central's soccer squad hold off South Gwinnett by a count of 2-1.
The Gladiators (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA). The Warriors enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record.
Next up, the Comets confront the Hebron Christian Lions (Dacula, GA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, February 13. South Gwinnett will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 1-1 non-league Seckinger (Buford, GA).
