The Midland Chemics (Midland, MI) basketball knocked off the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI), 64-52 in Friday's league test.
The Chemics (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Davison (Davison, MI). The Cardinals go into the Saginaw Valley test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Davison went down by Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI), 57-56, in a non-league test.
The Chargers now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Grand Blanc for a Saginaw Valley test on Tuesday, February 15. Powers Catholic will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 70-66 non-league win over Ferndale (Ferndale, MI). The Bobcats record now stands at 11-4.
