The Burwell Longhorns (Burwell, NE) basketball crushed the host Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets (Grand Island, NE), 71-26 in Friday's non-league test.

The Longhorns (10-11) will now prepare for their test against West Holt (Atkinson, NE). The Huskies go into the C2 District 9 test with a 8-14 record. In their last test, West Holt walloped St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE), 45-34, in a non-league test.

The Red Hornets now own a 6-13 record.
