The Northeast Vikings basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Chetopa Hornets to 11 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neodesha for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 15. Northeast will battle a Blue Streaks team coming off a 57-50 non-league win over Sedan (Sedan, KS). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 9-7.
The Hornets (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Oswego (Oswego, KS). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 0-16 record. In their last contest, Oswego was routed by Pleasanton (Pleasanton, KS), 27-20, in a non-league contest.
