Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, IL), 38-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fairfield upgrades its record to 11-17 on the season. The Mules host Flora (Flora, IL) to play the Wolves in a Black Diamond - East bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 16-13. Flora lost 35-34 in their recent non-league bout against Richland County (Olney, IL)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL) in a Cahokia - Illinois bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Chester will attempt to upgrade on its 12-17 season record.
