Illinois High School Basketball - Deer Creek-Mackinaw ripped by Tolono Unity

The Tolono Unity Rockets basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs to 31 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Rockets now sport a 16-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monticello for a Illini Prairie contest on Tuesday, February 14. Tolono Unity will meet a Sages team coming off a 67-49 non-league loss to St. Teresa (Decatur, IL). The Sages record now stands at 14-13.

The Chiefs (4-23) will now prepare for their contest against El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Titans enter the Heart of Illinois contest with a 15-13 record. In their last contest, El Paso-Gridley triumphed over Eastland (Lanark, IL), 64-61, in a non-league contest.
