The East Liverpool Potters (East Liverpool, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV), 59-57 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Potters (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Harding (Warren, OH). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 14-7 record. In their last test, Harding got by Boardman (Youngstown, OH), 50-42, in a league test.
The Red Riders now own a 13-8 record. They play next when they travel to John Marshall for a non-league test on Friday, February 17. Weir will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 61-45 non-league win over Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH). The Monarchs record now stands at 9-9.
