In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Melrose Buffaloes basketball team scored a good 57-46 triumph over the Eunice Cardinals.
In their next game, the Buffaloes meet the Grady Bronchos (Grady, NM) in a A District 6 match, on Tuesday, February 14. Melrose will attempt to better on its 17-4 season record. The Bronchos enter the match with a 7-11 record after their 76-30 league loss to Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM).
With the defeat, Eunice moves to 15-7 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Jal (Jal, NM) to meet the Panthers in a 2A District 4 match on Tuesday, February 14. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 16-8. Jal won 51-41 in their recent league match against Tatum (Tatum, NM)
