In Saturday's non-league outing, the Mountain Lakes Lakers (Mountain Lakes, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ), by a margin of 41-38.
The Lakers (6-14) will now prepare for their outing against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Ridgers go into the non-league outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, Glen Ridge held off Beloved Community Charter (Jersey City, NJ), 65-43, in a non-league outing.
The Bears now own a 11-12 record.
