Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Yorktown Tigers (Yorktown, IN) and the host Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN), saw Yorktown's basketball squad hold off Jay County by a count of 51-44.

With the victory, Yorktown upgrades its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Muncie Central (Muncie, IN) to play the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Muncie Central lost 59-44 in their recent league challenge against Anderson (Anderson, IN)

Next up, the Patriots play the Norwell Knights (Ossian, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 17. Jay County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 18-2 record after their 57-32 league win over Huntington North (Huntington, IN).
