Loogootee Lions (Loogootee, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN), 67-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Loogootee upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Lions host Washington Catholic (Washington, IN) to play the Cardinals in a Blue Chip bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 2-16. Washington Catholic lost 69-31 in their recent league bout against Shoals (Shoals, IN)

Next up, the Hatchets play the Heritage Hills Patriots (Lincoln City, IN) in a Pocket bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 57-42 league loss to Forest Park (Ferdinand, IN).
