Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) and the visiting Lutheran Crusaders (Rockford, IL), saw Sterling's basketball squad overcome Lutheran by a tally of 93-73.

With the victory, Sterling improves its record to 21-8 on the campaign. The Golden Warriors host Rock Island (Rock Island, IL) to play the Rocks in a Western Big 6 challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Rocks come into the challenge with a record of 19-11. Rock Island won 67-57 in their recent non-league challenge against East Peoria (East Peoria, IL)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Rockford Christian Royal Lions (Rockford, IL) in a Big Northern challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 20-9 season record. The Royal Lions come into the challenge with a 27-1 record after their 71-59 league win over Dixon (Dixon, IL).
