Colorado High School Basketball - Rye topped by Manitou Springs

The Manitou Springs Mustangs basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Rye Thunderbolts to 52 in the Mustangs league victory on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alamosa for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 14. Manitou Springs will battle a Mean Moose team coming off a 58-50 non-league win over Montrose (Montrose, CO). The Mean Moose record now stands at 18-2.

The Thunderbolts (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Peyton (Peyton, CO). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Peyton prevailed over Dolores Huerta Prep (Pueblo, CO), 78-47, in a non-league contest.
