St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), 67-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Teresa upgrades its record to 23-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Clinton (Clinton, IL) to play the Maroons in a Central Illinois bout on Thursday, February 16. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 23-6.

Next up, the Sages play the Tolono Unity Rockets (Tolono, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 14-13 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 16-13 record after their 71-31 non-league win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL).
