The North Central Hurricanes basketball team (Lebeau, LA), was nudged 61-56 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Zachary Broncos (Zachary, LA)
The Broncos now possess a 20-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty Magnet for a 5A District 4 battle on Wednesday, February 15. Zachary will battle a Patriots team coming off a 59-54 league win over Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 18-9.
The Hurricanes (18-11) will now prepare for their battle against Abbeville (Abbeville, LA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 14-8 record. In their last battle, Abbeville edged Kaplan (Kaplan, LA), 83-35, in a league battle.
