In Saturday's non-league outing, the Simon Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Holmes Bulldogs (Covington, KY), by a margin of 71-26.

The Pioneers (15-11) will now prepare for their outing against Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY). The Bluebirds go into the non-league outing with a 16-8 record. In their last outing, Highlands smashed Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY), 46-43, in a non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-16 record. They play next when they travel to Dixie Heights for a non-league outing on Monday, February 13. Holmes will clash with a Colonels squad coming off a 58-43 non-league win over Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY). The Colonels record now stands at 21-7.
