Lee County Bobcats (Beattyville, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Phelps Hornets (Phelps, KY), 61-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lee County upgrades its record to 3-17 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY) to play the Bluehawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Bluehawks come into the bout with a record of 16-16. Bluegrass United won 61-32 in their recent league bout against Christian Educational Consortium (Louisville, KY)

Next up, the Hornets play the Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. Phelps will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record.
