The Nevis Tigers (Nevis, MN) basketball felled the visiting Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds (Mahnomen, MN), 52-36 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Tigers (15-2) will now prepare for their test against Lake of the Woods (Baudette, MN). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 1-12 record.
The Thunderbirds now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they host Fosston for a A Section 8 test on Monday, February 13. Mahnomen/Waubun will encounter a Greyhounds squad coming off a 74-40 non-league win over Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal (Twin Valley, MN). The Greyhounds record now stands at 17-3.
