In Saturday's non-league match, the host Mahwah Thunderbirds basketball team scored a tight 34-27 triumph over the Park Ridge Owls.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds meet the Pascack Hills/Pascack Valley (Montvale, NJ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 14. Mahwah will attempt to better on its 11-11 season record.
With the defeat, Park Ridge moves to 13-12 on the year.
