In Saturday's non-league outing, the Providence Academy Lions (Plymouth, MN) basketball squad overwhelmed the host St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN), by a count of 89-56.
The Lions (19-2) will now prepare for their outing against Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN). The Fire go into the non-league outing with a 10-14 record. In their last outing, Holy Family Catholic was crushed by Hutchinson (Hutchinson, MN), 64-61, in a non-league outing.
The Saints now hold a 11-7 record. They play next when they host Worthington for a AAA Section 2 outing on Tuesday, February 14. St. Peter will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 72-50 non-league loss to Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-15.
