Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM), 57-18 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cibola upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Cougars host Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM) to play the Storm in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 15. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Cleveland won 48-20 in their recent non-league bout against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Spartans play the Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Bernalillo will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 44-10 non-league win over Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM).
