The Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) basketball edged the visiting Andover Golden Warriors (Andover, MA), 58-54 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 13-4 record. They play next when they host Weston for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 13. Newton South will play a Wildcats team coming off a 63-58 league loss to Concord-Carlisle (Concord, MA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-8.
With the loss, Andover falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Golden warriors travel to Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, MA) to play the Penguins in a non-league bout on Friday, February 14. The Penguins go into the bout with a record of 2-0.
