The Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) basketball edged the visiting Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL), 68-63 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 9-18 record. They play next when they travel to Waterloo for a Mississippi Valley bout on Friday, February 14. Jersey will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-44 non-league loss to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-9.
With the loss, Carrollton falls to 14-12 on the campaign. The Hawks host Calhoun/Brussels (Hardin, IL) to play the Warriors in a Freelance bout on Friday, February 14. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
