In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting DeSmet Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 50-48 win over the Flandreau Fliers.
The Bulldogs (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wolsey-Wessington (Wolsey, SD). The Warbirds come into the B Region 2 contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Wolsey-Wessington edged Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD), 54-50, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Fliers battle the Baltic Bulldogs (Baltic, SD) in a A Region 3 contest, on Tuesday, February 18. Flandreau will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 9-7 record after their 64-40 non-league win over Canton (Canton, SD).
