In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Mankato East Cougars basketball team scored a big 89-57 triumph over the Faribault Falcons.
The Cougars (21-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, Mayo smashed Winona (Winona, MN), 79-58, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Falcons confront the Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN) in a AAA Section 1 contest, on Thursday, February 13. Faribault will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 17-4 record after their 74-51 non-league win over Lake City (Lake City, MN).
