In Tuesday's league test, the Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA), by a final score of 99-82.
Next, the Cavaliers clash with the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern test, on Thursday, February 13. Lakeland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Bruins come into the test with a 9-10 record after their 64-53 league loss to Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA).
The Grizzlies (6-12) will now prepare for their test against Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA). The Monarchs come into the non-league test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, Meadowbrook went down by Armstrong (Richmond, VA), 53-47, in a non-league test.
