Michigan High School Basketball - L'Anse thwarts Lake Linden-Hubbell

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI) and the host Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes (Lake Linden, MI), observed L'Anse's basketball team knock off Lake Linden-Hubbell by a score of 70-60.

The Purple Hornets (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against West Iron County (Iron River, MI). The Wykons come into the non-league challenge with a 3-14 record. In their last challenge, West Iron County prevailed over Hancock (Hancock, MI), 52-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lakes battle the Chassell Panthers (Chassell, MI) in a Copper Mountain - Copper County challenge, on Friday, February 14. Lake Linden-Hubbell will attempt to improve on its 1-17 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 72-38 non-league loss to Stephenson (Stephenson, MI).
