The Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds (Mahnomen, MN) basketball crushed the host Nevis Tigers (Nevis, MN), 56-32 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 13-12 record. They play next when they travel to Detroit Lakes for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 13. Mahnomen/Waubun will play a Lakers team coming off a 82-38 non-league loss to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 6-17.

With the loss, Nevis falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Blackduck (Blackduck, MN) to play the Drakes in a non-league bout on Friday, February 14. The Drakes go into the bout with a record of 16-10. Blackduck won 72-17 in their recent league bout against Red Lake (Red Lake, MN)
