The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Shawnee Mission East Lancers (Shawnee Mission, KS) and the host Olathe East Hawks (Olathe, KS), observed Shawnee Mission East's basketball team knock off Olathe East by a score of 48-37.

The Lancers (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mill Valley (Shawnee, KS). The Jaguars come into the Sunflower challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Mill Valley was knocked off by Olathe Northwest (Olathe, KS), 46-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Olathe South Falcons (Olathe, KS) in a Sunflower challenge, on Friday, February 14. Olathe East will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 66-14 league win over Lawrence Free State (Lawrence, KS).
