Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks (Fort Lauderdale, FL) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their lacrosse team top the visiting South Plantation Paladins (Plantation, FL), 17-2 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Archbishop McCarthy advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Stoneman Douglas (Parkland, FL) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 0-1.

The Paladins now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cypress Bay for a Independent game on Thursday, February 13. South Plantation will play a Lightning team coming off a 19-1 non-league loss to Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The Lightning record now stands at 0-1.
