In Tuesday's non-league match, the host East Central Hornets softball team scored a tight 10-7 victory over the Davenport Wolves.
The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Crosby (Crosby, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Crosby was routed by Alvin (Alvin, TX), 4-3, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Wolves battle the New Braunfels Unicorns (New Braunfels, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 13. Davenport will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Unicorns go into the match with a 1-0 record after their 9-5 league win over Pieper (San Antonio, TX).
