The Lyford Bulldogs triumphed over the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons softball squad by a count of 15-6 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs meet the Southwest Legacy Titans (Von Ormy, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Lyford will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Titans enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 11-7 league loss to Southside (San Antonio, TX).
The Tarpons (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Huskies enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Juarez-Lincoln topped Martin (Laredo, TX), 15-0, in a league game.
