In Saturday's non-league outing, the Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Barbourville Tigers (Barbourville, KY), by a count of 78-52.
The Cardinals (11-11) will now prepare for their outing against Boyle County (Danville, KY). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 18-5 record. In their last outing, Boyle County smashed East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY), 68-45, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now hold a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Oneida Baptist Institute for a non-league outing on Monday, February 14. Barbourville will clash with a Mountaineers squad coming off a 82-66 non-league loss to Corbin (Corbin, KY). The Mountaineers record now stands at 13-11.
