Washington, DC High School Basketball - Gonzaga nudges Bishop O'Connell

In Sunday's league outing, the Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) basketball squad edged the visiting Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA), by a margin of 81-80.
The Eagles (21-5) will now prepare for their outing against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Lions go into the DCSAA AA outing with a 8-16 record. In their last outing, Archbishop Carroll was tipped by Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD), 74-61, in a league outing.
The Knights now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Paul VI for a VISAA Division I outing on Tuesday, February 14. Bishop O'Connell will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 77-47 league win over Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 24-1.
