Traverse City West Titans (Traverse City, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI), 72-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Traverse City West upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Titans travel to Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI) to play the Trojans in a Big North bout on Friday, February 16. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 4-14. Traverse City Central won 75-50 in their recent non-league bout against Midland (Midland, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Chippewa Hills Warriors (Remus, MI) in a Central State - Gold bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Big Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 56-39 non-league loss to Shepherd (Shepherd, MI).
