Clayton Clippers (Clayton, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cumberland Colts (Seabrook, NJ), 71-67 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Clayton upgrades its record to 4-18 on the campaign.

Next up, the Colts play the Shawnee Renegades (Medford, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 17. Cumberland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-21 season record. The Renegades come into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 61-41 non-league loss to Lenape (Medford, NJ).
