Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats (Hartington, NE) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears (Laurel, NE), 52-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hartington-Newcastle upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Osmond/Randolph (Osmond, NE) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, February 16. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 5-15. Osmond/Randolph lost 51-30 in their recent non-league bout against Stuart (Stuart, NE)
Next up, the Bears play the Wynot Blue Devils (Wynot, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 66-52 league win over Hartington-Newcastle (Hartington, NE).
