The Highland Springs Springers basketball team scored 2 points and held the visiting Meadowbrook Monarchs to 0 in the Springers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Springers now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hopewell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Highland Springs will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 56-33 league win over Thomas Dale (Chester, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 13-6.

The Monarchs (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 19-2 record. In their last contest, Carver College and Career Academy was nudged by Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA), 78-66, in a non-league contest.
