The Highmore/Harrold Pirates (Highmore, SD) basketball nipped the host Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers (Gettysburg, SD), 60-57 in Monday's league test.
The Pirates (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Warner (Warner, SD). The Monarchs go into the non-league test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, Warner was tipped by Wolsey-Wessington (Wolsey, SD), 60-41, in a non-league test.
The Battlers now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Ipswich for a B Region 6 test on Thursday, February 15. Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 67-63 non-league loss to Aberdeen Christian (Aberdeen, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 10-7.
