South Colonels (Worcester, MA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Montachusett RVT Bulldogs (Fitchburg, MA), 57-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, South upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to Ayer Shirley (Ayer, MA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 15. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 12-3. Ayer Shirley won 52-47 in their recent non-league test against Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (Lowell, MA)

The Bulldogs now own a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Auburn for a non-league test on Monday, February 19.
